What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before? i got a job! selling children clothes in an overpriced boutique, but i think it was a fitting job because i love children to bits. 2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i don't think i made a new years resolution. i hardly ever make any because i know i never keep em. 3. What countries did you visit? singapore, australia and china. 4. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011? a boyfriend. /no shame at all 5. What was your biggest achievement of the year? i received the highest score for the subject Globalisation in both semester A and semester B in the world. i'm the world's top, gaiz *___* 6. What was your biggest failure? i still can't drive for shit. 7. What was the best thing you bought? a MARIMO! a little ball of moss that i keep as a pet omg 8. Where did most of your money go? concerts and travelling. 9. What did you get really, really, really excited about? seeing kim soohyun in the flesh, y'all. soohyun is my ideal man, okay. and we were breathing the same air. he was a few feet away from me. What was your favorite album from 2011? i would choose tablo, but tablo's album is so raw that it unnerves me. for indie, i like a mintpaper project titled cafe day and night. for a more mainstream pick, it has to be ukiss. i'm really really proud of my bbys okay. they improved so much! 11. How many concerts did you see in 2011? hold on lemme count. kpop live, 2am, mtvasia, ukiss, mama, ss3, kmw, sjm, astro recording. holy fuck. 9. no wonder i'm broke. 12. Did you have a favorite concert in 2011? MAMA, i guess. cause it has the most artists, and i saw kim soohyun and simon d live!!! also, dynamic duo performed fireworks so my life is complete. 13. Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2011? i really cut back this year. i barely drank at all! 14. Compared to this time last year, are you: 1. Happier or sadder? happier. 2. Thinner or fatter? thinner. 3. Richer or poorer? about the same. 15. What do you wish you’d done more of? socialize. but at the same time, i don't want to socialize. a bit of a conflict here. 16. What do you wish you’d done less of? study. geez, i just realized how effortless foundation can be. i can halfass everything and still get a good score, so why did i bother? i should've spent that time on fun. 17. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas? i was in the mountains in Lijiang, China, being entirely awed by the stunning view. i haven't spent christmas in my own country since forever, so in comparison, this year's was pretty great. 18. What was your greatest musical discovery? neon bunny counts, i suppose. 19. What did you want and get? i sorta get everything i want. i'm a bit spoilt that way. but then again, i barely want anything. i wanted a crush, and i got a crush? :D 20. What did you want and not get? ... a boyfriend. because i'm still not over the fact that i'm 18 and still single gdi. /bitter 21. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? we had a crazy sleepover. the girls threw surprise party for me and bought me a necklace. it was my 18th birthday! 22. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011? loose baggy tees with leggings or skinny jeans. 23. What kept you sane? music and kdramas. 24. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? lee hyunwoo, because he's an adorable piece of fluff. 25. What political issue stirred you the most? same sex marriage! D:< LOVE IS EQUAL YOU GAIZ. racial inequalities. 26. Who did you miss? i really missed my japanese host family. the little girls and the warm caring mother... :( 27. Who was the best new person you met? a college mate. she made me go, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? we're so alike and yet so different. finally i've found someone where i don't have to be apprehensive around because as corrupted or snarky as i am, she's every bit my match. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011. it's okay to let loose. look, you're an intelligent girl, and you work harder than most of your peers. like i said before, you can half ass everything and still perform better than 90% of your course mates. so play. 29. 2011 in a nutshell? it was a pretty nice year and i was almost always happy. ... with the exception of the periods when i was pmsing; then it was all doom and gloom for me. i settled into my skin more, to the point where i think i really do know myself quite well. i'm proud of my achievements and i appreciate all my friendships. i only hope this happy bubble will never burst. epik till the death of me; 10:12 PM Friday, December 16, 2011  
also received two subject awards for topping the results in both globalisation a and b. even if it makes me a little geeky, i'm pretty pleased with it. it feels good to have topped in the world. epik till the death of me; 9:40 PM Tuesday, December 06, 2011 supremely late fan account. i didn't want to write this because work and other stuff has consumed my life, but i had time and i thought i would write it down before i forget. performances not in order, and account not detailed. it's all on video anyway xD from the start, everything went wrong. first i realized that i wouldn't receive my passport (i applied for a chinese visa) until 9am, tuesday. my bus was scheduled to depart at 7.45am. panicked, i changed my bus to 10.45am because to get my passport back earlier, i needed to pay a penalty of rm500. then the night before the concert, my internet died on me, so i couldn't access the confirmation email i received. after the internet was fixed, my printer died. many other little things happened, and by the time i was on the bus, i was stressed to the point of nausea. but okay, my ticket was in hand and our bus had departed. everything was going to be fine. we reached the stadium at around 4.30pm. turns out that the red carpet wasn't really public as stated. instead, only 300 people could enter. there were a ton of people waiting outside, and upon asking, a girl told me that the cars passed by here. so we waited and the first car to pass us by was... SONG SEUNGHUN. his window was down and he flashed us a miss korea worthy smile-wave combo. he's so gorgeous that he looks fake. he's perfectly sculptured and so porcelain like... still reeling from the awestuck, the second car rolled by, containing no other than... SNOOP DOGG. ngl, the entire crowd burst out laughing, because it's just so ridiculous that snoop dogg, of all people, would attend MAMA, especially since he hasn't been active musically lately. the next few cars were lee byunghun, yoon eunhye, song joongki, han chaeyoung and i think kim heesun. by then, suimei and i were pretty tired, so we headed in. the stadium is tiny. even with our seats, the stage was still close. camwhored a bit with our MAMA lightsticks, free for foreigners who completed a survey.  we were sitting opposite to where the stars were seated, so we had a clear view of their crazy antics throughout the show. hee. the bad side was that we were also opposite to the presenters. it's alright. as long as i see kim soohyun live, it's all good~ yb sprang up first, and i was stoked, but i suspect that only a small handful of people knew who they were. i saw YB placards though! yoon dohyun tweeted that he would have a stage with dynamic duo and simon d, so naturally they came up next. i happily shouted along to dynamic duo and supreme team's songs (the only one in my section to do so OTL), and i was wondering why i knew every word to the song they were singing, until it struck me belatedly that they were singing 불꽃놀이 (Fireworks), a song that i had been praying for them to sing. i freaked out, earning a few side eyes. i was particularly enthusiastic during 땡땡땡 because i've half the rap memorized. the next surprise came when the winner of best hiphop was announced. i was in the middle of grumbling that leessang deserved the winner, not simon d, when bam, gil walked on stage. at this point, suimei knew to lean away from me lol. beast's performance was just average for me, because i've seen them so. many. times. that hyunseung/hyuna kiss threw me off completely. one moment i was all, wow hey that's sexually suggestive, and the next moment we were all HOLY SHIT WTF JUST HAPPENED. i thought the fans were really rude when they started yelling the names of beast when langlang performed his piano piece. let the dude play his piano, you bunch of uncivilized children! miss a was cool, but i really didn't expect weichen to join them! earlier kpop_stream said that he would show, but i was doubting it. then he popped up with them and eeee sm and i screeched so loudly. i never thought that i would see him! dskljsljdslakdasld BRB SPAZZING. i wish aziatix, baekjiyoung and huhgak sang :( why fly all the way to singapore if you won't sing? on the bright side, i really really never expected the rest of the superstar k finalists to sing. ulala session were fun as usual, though they seemed slightly subdued hmmm. i was simply floored when i recognised 투개월 and 이건율 on stage, even more when son yerim appeared. YERIM! she's not even a finalist! i love the girl~ and i've made it clear that i adore 투개월. snsd's stage sucked. from where i sat, it was extra obvious that their choreo was messy. before they went on stage, i watched hyoyeon and sooyoung practice their moves for about 5 minutes backstage. i sorta expected koda kumi to perform love me back, but she surprised me when she performed ai no uta. i love that song! her outfit would probably be banned if a korean was wearing it, but it's okay, she's japanese and the music police can close one eye. i thought superjunior's stage was a bit unfair. they performed three songs, and yet snsd only performed one? and they got 100 backup dancers for Sorry Sorry. but as eeteuk said, this might be their last award show. at the end of the concert, the suju boys held hands and made 90degree bows. at first i smiled, but the smile quickly slipped off my face because they bowed for a really really long time. it tugged at my heartstrings. superjunior might not be superjunior anymore after this. ran out of steam to write more. awesome concert, all in all. normally concerts end before i realize it, but this one was REALLY long. i enjoyed myself, and yet i was surprised when oh, there's 2 hours left?
