I decided to go to the MAA, a last minute decision and boy, am I glad i did! Once we got there, me and my friends were interviewed by a DJ. EEP I'LL BE ON MTV. Maybe. Then UTT APPEARED. geez, he's hot. They had games, questions bla that I didn't participate in. During a performance by a local band, we were supposed to rock our hearts out to prove that we CAN rock and are worthy of tickets. I'm normally reserved, but FOR SUJU I jumped and screamed and waved my hands around until i was breathless. IT PAID OFF! A staff tapped me on the shoulder and said to me, "Are you 15?" "Yes." "You're sure?" I nodded excitedly. She handed me a MTV sticker. "Hang on to this, you're selected as one of the moshpitters." I screamed. She laughed, asked me if I had friends. I pulled the girl who drove me there over (Speaking of which, todays her birthday; HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and she was given a ticket too. After that, I hit a small snag where I was required to show my ID, but I didn't bring it along with me! So my parents had to make the long trip to the shopping centre to bring my ID. During the wait, i was practically freaking out. My idea of freaking out anyway, which is very very mild. The MTV staff were very nice though. i could hear them whispering in the corner. "She doesn't look under 15. " "No, she looks very cute, really." GAH MTV PEOPLE COMPLIMENTED ME Anyway, my parents arrived and I got my letter. I was given a one-on-one briefing because I was the last one there so I got to chat with the briefing guy for a while. I can't believe I can see Superjunior upclose, not once, but TWICE. i. Am. In. But I'm not believing it till DSP releases official news. epik till the death of me; 9:47 PM Saturday, July 12, 2008 Wow. i hate Shinee, but out of the blue I watched one clip because everyone said it was awesome. I still hate Shinee but WOW the other girl singing in the clip. So basically during Sukira which Onew and Jonghyun are taking over, theres a norebang session. A listener calls in and sings a duet with Onew and shit, the girl is awesome. How can an impromptu duet sound so awesome? They harmonised wonderfully. Onew went offkey a few times though. 2AM.. Wow. I didn't expect them to actually be able to sing. hell, they were great! Its so refreshing to find a boyband that actually has vocals nowadays! I'm impressed. I defiantely will continue to look out for this band. The song is great too! Still can't tell who the hell is who. not trying to remember either. 2Am debuted on the 11th of July, 2008. They are made up of 4 of the 10 hot blood boys. They're not under JYP entertainment though, instead they're under Cube entertainment. JYP and Cube are partners. ► I'm thinking of learning Japanese. Let's make a list! Why? 1. I've learned it before in an intensive course. I was 10 and was forced into going so needless to say, I barely passed the course and therefore remember almost nil now. It's sad to say I've learned but am barely able to utter the simplest words. 2. I said I would, and I'll show those who doubt me that I can. 3. I love to be superior than most and what better way than to know two more languages than them? 4. It's a useful language. I suppose it'll help me in my career someday. 5. I want to go to a homestay to Japan. Why I'm wavering? 1. This year is the exam year. If I do go for Japanese, the following months will be hell. Trial exams will be coming up nonstop, once per two weeks? I have two Korean exams in September, one by my institute and another international one held by the Korean embassy called TOFIK which costs A LOT. My Japanese exam will also be in September. A week later in october, the important exam I've been studying for the past three years for will arrive. 2. I lack the passion I have for Korean. 3. Unlike Korean where you only have to repeat something once for me to understand and remember, Japanese takes a lot more work because I'm not as interested. 4. Language classes are expensive! I'm taking private, and it eats up all of my cash. People starve themselves to play and buy pretty things. Hell, when a fifteen year old feels old, there's something seriously wrong. I got into Kpop at the age of 13. Exactly 13. I like TVXQ starting from my birthday. So tomorrow, I'll have liked Kpop for exactly two years. I used to be the youngest fangirl everywhere. Now there are newer younger girls domnating the threads that i've left. The 17/18 year old girls i used to talk to are now TWENTY. A friend reminded me of my OLDness the other day when she said she's known me for two years. She's one of the first batch of friends I've met online through fangirling. I was like, "WHAT. TWO YEARS?" She said, "Yeah, two. i'm NINETEEN NOW." geez. First I went to the Karaoke with my friends <3 We went crazy singing Balloons and almost hurt our throats singing Timeless in three languages (English, Korean and Chiinese!). Then I went to a musical. Beauty and the Beast! Chip was adorable! I like the carpet too! Belle has a sweet voice. And today they made us crawl through mud and stick our faces in mud under the excuse of having a friendly interclass race. But next week will be even better. You know why? IT'LL BE MY BIRTHDAY. I should stop falling in love with fictional characters. After MONTHS of searching I've FINALLY found the Twilight trilogy(soon to have a fourth) by Stephenie Meyer. You'll think such a famous book would be found in every bookstore. My friend recommended it to me last year while we were chatting about vampires. She's a fangirl, no less. Don't even ask why I talk about vampires to people I've never met. I have a morbid fascination with vampires. I'm afraid of most ghouls, ghosts, werewolves even big foot, but vampires don't scare me. I opened the book and was faintly surprised. I expected it to be written more beautifully, instead of the simple dialog meant for teens. The last vampire series I read was 7 books long and contained words that at times even I didn't know(I rarely find words I don't understand in books, so it pleased me greatly). Then again, that was written with adults in mind. Those books would scar a child, providing of course, that the child actually understood the writing. My friends didn't. I was slightly disappointed in how Bella found out the truth about Edward, how mild. You can't blame me. I ransacked my brother's book collection and spent weeks reading graphic murder and law novels. But still, its very appealing, because its very fresh and it had me glued. I finished the 500 pages of the first book in one day. I like reading how different artists view vampires. Since there is no actual account, they let their imagination run wild, sometimes following myths, sometimes not. It's sad. I don't even find books satisfactory anymore. I keep telling myself: Stop reading so many fucking books then. I'm reading books at an average of one per day these days. Just reading them at breakneck speed, ignoring lunch, homework and responsibilities. None of them catch my attention. Sms language and certain slang annoy me to no end. I've been told many times: You are just not normal. Why can't you speak like a normal teen and be less stuck up? In not so straight forward words of course. But I can tell they're annoyed because I choose not to butcher English. I used to wish I could go to an international school. It was my dream. I tell that to my friends, my plans. They look at me with a mixed expression of awe and "she's nuts". I take it for granted that I would be going out of the country to further my studies. I envision my future and it does not take place anywhere near this country. I assumed everyone would think this. To my surprise, no. Their response was something along the lines of, "Well, I guess we won't be seeing much of you then." They intend to stay. I want to travel. Go to Japan, spend a month backpacking, go to Korea, another month. Till my money runs out. Like my brother is doing. My friends don't get it. "Why? Why can't he just stay in his dorm for the three months?" I stare at them, almost dumbfounded. Where's their sense of adventure? They can stay in the cage for the rest of their life if they want, but I'm going to break free and soar. epik till the death of me; 10:31 PM
